Phoenix Injury Attorney

I live in Arizona How or where, can I find a criminal attorney I can afford?

I was stopped for a white licenses plate light on 01/06/07 the cop asked to search my truck I told him No! so he called for a K-9, they walked the dog around the truck and aressted for drugs, the next day while being booked in the county I asked what they claim to have found, I was charged with having 44.2 grams of meth. I don't seem to have any rights because of something my brother did, and they can't catch him they are going to make me pay for his mistakes, several attorneys agree with me but I can't afford them. I was appointed a attorney but I can't get them to do anything! I need help before they put me away!!! To Devil in details, Navajo County three weeks after I made bail $5000 I hade a hearing, the judge was talking to a lady about my brother he then put me on probation, they also seized my truck I receved a letter (the only one I have receved) saying my truck has been forfited to the state. What happend to inicent until proven guilty!!

  1. You can force your attorney to act on your behalf. Contact him/her and tell them explicitly what you want them to do, and if they refuse, tell the judge. It is their duty. Also, you may not know this, but you can FIRE a public defender and request another attorney from the judge. However, you must approach the judge before firing the attorney. I also suggest that you look at legal defense clinics in your area. There is plenty of criminal legal aid available, besides the public defender's office. Contact a law school in your area, or ask the court clerk to give you a list.
  2. This seems a bit confusing. You had a hearing, they gave you probation. If you were innocent, perhaps you should have requested a jury trial. You should call your public defender as soon as possible and have him explain your options Arizona Revised Statutes Criminal Code Title 13 is at the following link:
